RIGGING SHEET AND HALYARDS
Hey you Guys. Need "expert" advice. Freedom needs new sheets and halyards. Sampson has two strengths of 3/8 yachtbraid. 3700 lb and 5100 lb. Any recommendations. Don't want to go cheap but don't want to overkill either. Anyone, Bueller, Bueller? Fair Winds and Full Sails...Old Salt.

Re: RIGGING SHEET AND HALYARDS
Last I heard you were growing a garden in your boat? Are you fixing back up to both to race and/or cruise and will the rigging be in the Nevada sun all the time? Both the lines mentioned seem plenty strong, so which weighs more? My take on everything hanging off the mast is about the weight issue, but then I like passing the other guy, perhaps more than others.
I buy my rope on Ebay because the other issue that usually outweighs the ideal is my wallet. There are some rigging companies that will set up all the lines on a Mac, advertising on Ebay. Compare these to Samson and New England Ropes. You also get spliced ends and new hardware with this option.

I have been using the Cajun double braid line for 8 years now on two different boats. Highly recommended.
