Geeze, sorry my mistake - I was on the wrong post
Sorry, some guys in the SA came to mind because I knew someone with a MAC that was a TV producer and went there to help them sell more potatoes because the farmers were having trouble back in the 80's - I mistakenly thought you were from the SA and would remember the 'great potato crisis'! I forget how old I am too. I had another friend from Australia that was a radio personality in one of your major cities and she had a lot of friends with sailboats and some had MACS, but they were all in the SA too. (She knew about the potatoes too) Anyways, sorry, I misread - I thought you were in south west Australia.

I would like to go to Australia someday. If I ever do then I will be a "Mac owner in Australia"
(Just ignore my ravings - most people do)

Hey Boat, come on down, i just used Google earth and found that if you left Oceanside CA in your Mac on a heading of 247 degrees and managed 4 knots average you would be here in exactly 1557 hours or about 65 days non stop, however you would pass by some spectacular island groups and would want to stop. So pack the boat now and get under way, see you around the end of October. :)

Set course to 247 you say, hmmm, I guess if 3 or 4 other MACs wanna go with me it might be doable. I would probably want HaminX and U2FLY along in a seaplane for air support. The winds and swell around the Cook Islands can get really big - if I could make it to the Coral Sea I would have it licked. 30 foot swells are projected north of North Island. . Hmmm, . . 2 months at sea huh? You guys do Halloween down there?

halloween is done by a few but not many, happy to make an exception in your case. 30 foot swell is fine, read a good book to take your mind off it. :?
