Is there another Macgregor forum, not macgregorsailors.com related, we can use to discuss destinations? Thanx for your time!

Re: Is there another Macgregor site?
Hard to know if you are serious. so I will assume you are.
Using Google, I copied your whole question into its search window but substituting the search engine exclusion character (-) in place of the word "not". {As in -macgregorsailors.com instead of 'not macgregorsailors.com'}
Google spit this link out LINK HERE
Have a nice day and 2013 sailing season!

There is one other one, but I'm pretty sure everyone on there is on here, and it's been so long since I've visited it I can't remember the name.

Re: Is there another Macgregor site?
[mod="kmclemore']This mod doesn't mind at all. Personally, I think this is the best Mac site on the 'net by far, but hey, if folks want to find other places to frequent they're free to do so. And I've nothing against posting links to other Mac sites, either. Heck, I'm a member of one of the Facebook Mac sites, so how can I quibble?yukonbob wrote:Don't know if this is ok with the mod but its http://macgregor.sailboatowners.com/

In the end, it's all about where you feel most comfortable.[/mod]

Re: Is there another Macgregor site?
yes the mac sailboatowner site is very good if you don't mind discussions of other makes of boats. And there is quite a few actual experts with their own colums regarding electronics, sail trim and boat systems, not arm chair engineers like us here.Be warned though the owner and moderator is very liberal and personal attacks and naughty words are permitted, its not the sunday school atmosphere where no one gets their feelings hurt like we have on this forum.

I can't stand actual experts because they usually disagree with me

Re: Is there another Macgregor site?
I was on sailboatowners.com forum for a long time, specifically the HunterOwners sub-forum (I was even a mod for the H340 page, before I sold the boat), and now I poke around the Mac portion regularly, but this is where I prefer to be most of the time. In fact, someone over there who also splits time in both sent me over here when I got the X.
The breadth and depth of model specific information, including mods and improvements, seems to be far wider and deeper here than at other places, and while the tone may be a bit more subdued here than many other forums, I don't frequent any of them for the head butting, so it's just fine with me. If I want to butt heads with guys who just can't help themselves, I can go to work.

Seems to be the easiest link.
Any sites specific to destinations in North America?

Re: Is there another Macgregor site?
Dry Tortugas, we get the point. You only joined this forum on January 30th, 2013, and now you want folks to leave this forum and join the other one because you personally have a grievance. Further, I can't help but think you might also be trying to bait me, as the moderator, to kill your postings so you can say we censored you. Well, I'm not taking the bait.
Yes, this forum is moderated more closely to prevent folks from attacking one another. And yes, we also moderate to prevent it turning into nothing more than a place folks can post advertisements and spam. But the folks who are here chose to be here, in many cases, because we do run a 'friendly' forum, where the main goals are to help each other and to become friends. If you wish to join us, we'd welcome you. If not, we understand. But I will respectfully request that you please wind down this effort to encourage folks to leave... it's really not appropriate, particularly for someone who has only been here for 3 days...
