drawbar removal

Post by waternwaves »

One if the ways to remove the rust strength is to convert that iron/oxygen bond//

if it truly is not welded in the back

get out the naval jelly, and some liquid phosphoric acid, start squirting and filling.. course it will take the paint off, decrease surface dimensions as iron is scavenged.

wont take a week
will take some vibration to wick it between the metal surfaces...But it will eat rust, and is not dimished in potency by residual salt.

use eye protection, sacrificial clothing...and voila....you will soon be the proud recipient of a very shiny and pitted drawbar, and a ready to grind receiver....

What's the Mac trailer tongue height when level? I need to choose correct ball mount.

To loosen mount from receiver, theory says to cool the mount while heating the receiver. The heating part is easy. The cooling part, I can think of dry-ice or freon.
