Come join the zillionth (lost count) Annual NC Pirate sail. We will launch and sup in Beaufort NC on Friday Sep 21, sail out to Cape Lookout for a bonfire on the 22 and return to Beaufort on the 23.
We had 25 boats last year including 11 Macs
Currently 13 boats are signed up (6 Macs). I know of at least 4 more Macs that are interested.
We have crew from South Carolina and MD joining the fun again.
Right now, just 5 1/2 weeks from the event - we have 50 pirates and 20 boats showing up so far.
Out of the 20 boats / 11 are MacGregors!!
Erik is the t-shirt designer this year so guess what, there is a MacGregor in the design too!
Any other MacGregors going to join the takeover! ?
So far we are at 20 boats / 50 people with 11 Macs!
Come on down/up/over and join the fun
This year we get to see two new Suzuki 90 powerd boats, Sea Wind X and David Bourne's M. Out of 11 Macs 5 will have 90+ HP motors (4 Suzukis, 1 ETech). Interesting trend.
I hope to pick up the boat tomorrow with the new engine and start the break-in period right away.
Nice design Erik. BTW, the boat in the background of the t-shirts is a Mac
After a number of additions and deletions, we have 57 people and 21 boats. 12 of the boats are MacGregors including 1 Venture, 1 26D, 26Xs and 26Ms. We also have a 40' power yacht that joined us last year. So if you don't have a sailboat is does not matter! On the water is what counts.
Pirate Fest, Friday September 21st is almost here.
This is well worth the drive from Baltimore and Pedro with Sea Wind will be joining in from Virginia.
Don't miss out on the fun! You can make it!
Check it out click Events at http://www.ncsail.info/.
I'll be missing you guys just barely. Puddle Hunter is moving from Smith Mountain Lake to Silver Lake in Ocracoke, full time...
But not until October 6.
Anyone coming down the ICH want/need to make a stop in Ocracoke, give me a call. 540/721-2140
dry bed, hot food, cold beer - and an envious owner away from his boat.
