Where are the chainplates? And what's with the 'other' for type and rigging?

Re: Sleazy ad challenge
All good points (I wouldn't tow this boat on that trailer!)
My guess at what's wrong with the ad is...
My first thought was that the forestay wasn't attached to the boat but somewhere off the picture however...
The ad states that the boat is 20 feet and the draft is 3.5 feet. If the draft is 3.5 feet I put the boat length to less than 18 feet (roughly). This is assumming that the keel is 3.5 feet and that is all that is being considered for the draft measurement. If the keel is less tan 3.5 feet then the length of the boat is less than I (roughly) calculated it to be; either way, no way this boat is 20 feet.
I'll go ahead and submit the above though I proved myself wrong...
Harpoon 6.2 specs.

oh well

So I thought about it and came up with the following:MARK PASSMORE wrote:mast is a power line pole.

Re: Sleazy ad challenge
Okay, you are all renewed for free....good points all..
Im pretty sure this is a mast-less incomplete boat, but that pic is carefully taken to mast-querade that in fact, it is masted....

Re: Sleazy ad challenge
It says it comes with sails, nothing about a mast.
It could be the mast is stored elsewhere. That "trailer" wouldn't go very far.

Re: Sleazy ad challenge
My bet is the mast is being stored at RigRite in Rhode Island for about 2000 more....

Re: Sleazy ad challenge
It would be nice of him to have shown the unstepped Mast, or, if absent (as from other photos), he should have posted, "No outboard motor and Mast".
