Nice. Probably gets better gas mileage on account of the color.

Slower :x

See the license plate off center - that is for the turbo intercooler. The truck's power is definitely for someone more grown up than me :|

Now, how can I turbocharge the ETEC? :) Forced induction vs large displacement - hmmmmm

Hey Q1,
It looks like your beautiful big blue hull boat is backing your little tiny car down the launch ramp :)
Is that you jumping on the bow to rescue the big boat, or the little car?

Excellent choice RobertB! :D

Nice colour match, too. Makes me green.

Direct injection and turbo charging have been around for some time now, but previous incarnations have traded off power and fuel efficiency in exchange for low emissions, not to mention a number of technical flaws, such as turbo lag.

The latest generation of technologies (twin-turbo – smaller displacement, direct injection like the Eco-boost, which I assume you have) is significant because it extracts the best performance and emissions figures without these sacrifices and trade-offs. And not to mention gobs of torque! (over 400 ft-lbs, IIRC).

Now you own two historically significant milestones in engine technology, one under the hood, the other at the back of the boat. 8)

I’m going to guess that it didn’t just happen that way and that it’s because you did your homework?

-Brian.

Aerocharger builds a turbo for BRP E-tec 800cc snowmobiles turning 8,200 rpm, 8-10# boost. Boondocker has a nytros 30 hp kit for the E-tec as well. XD-100 oil, highy recommended 8)

That's a sharp looking setup. I'm envious.

Gotta do something about those trailer wheels, though. If not nifty aluminium jobbies to match the tow beast, at least new galvanized wheels. :D 8)
