Good deal. It should work fine, but monitor it for a day or so and let us know how it works for you, please.

If you wanted to track a particular thread instead of a keyword or phrase, why not enter the name to the thread in quotes in your query? This should, theoretically, ping you daily on every addition to that thread as the title is included in the postings.

Great. Remember, you may want to specify "site:macgregorsailors.com" and that will lock your search to this site only, and omit the rest of the internets. You don't need the (+) signs.

Thanks, I realized and changed it.

A great feature would be to receive email alerts when a topic you've initiated/posted to, or a watchword/phrase (ex:whisker poles) gets added to the board. This way it would not matter that your topic is not always front page. Again, I understand why programming this in might not be worth while when the board is already so popular and it won't put food on the table - or worse - keep the sailor/programmer off the water :)

If you look toward the bottom of each page within a topic, there is an option to subscribe to that topic. The same is true for the separate forums. An email will be sent to you when someone posts to the topic/forum.

I'm grateful for Heath's forum. Unfortunately due to family circumstances he had to sell his boat, but he keeps this forum alive which he could easily have shut down.

As far as non- X/M owners. I have personally sent several Venture owners to this site. I find the Mac/Venture forum full of great folks with lots to contribute and I wish more would. Gary posted some fun things, but he seemed to be offended easily.
This site is actually moderated and kept clean. A refreshing place that I don't have to worry if my wife or child is looking over my shoulder reading some foul language. One of the few civilized forums on the internetz. Kudos to the mods for doing a great job.

Frankly, the "icon" is annoying anyway. I wish Heath would remove them.

Support a valuable site I will.

Thanks, Cat and Russ. Very much appreciated.

We Mods do try our best, and for what we get paid (read: NOTHING) I think we do a pretty fair job. :D
