New Years Cruise with the WCTSS Fl. Keys

Post by DaveB »

Teresa and I Just spent 6 Days on our 26X launching from South Dade Marina with 9 boats of the WCTSS. Sailing from Manitee Bay thru Card Sound, Elliott Key and back . Trip was about 80 miles to and from including long tacks going up.
Here are some pictures for you Snow Birds. Might even think of a near by trip to warm your cold feet. :P
There were 3 Mac.X's one M and one S in the group.

Dave,

Very nice pics. Must be nice to spend New Year's Eve on a beach wearing shorts and a T-Shirt sitting around a campfire. Saw my buddy Phil J there on Southern Soul. Maybe I can make it next year...will be retired and probably un-employed.

Cheers,
Jim

Nice Dave!

It must have been awfully hard to enjoy yourselves, knowing that your Canadian buddies were locked in winter's grip ... but you seemed to be managing somehow.

How very nice! Wish I could have joined you, Ha!
We are going through winter; not really suitable for going around in shorts :D
Happy New Year to all.

Great pictures Dave and it looks like it was a good time/trip for you guys.

If you don't mind I'll steal some of the Dade Marina pictures to put with the end of our trip so that people can see what the place looks like. I'll give you credit for them. They came out good. Let me know and thanks,

Sum,
Dimitri took the pictures of South Dade Marina and should be the one given credit.

Victor,
Here are some photo's of the new Main. The wind was aft on the sail raised on trailer and does not show true fit.
