You may want to check the cleat for the keel on the coachroof.

Is it running down the carpet on the wall or dripping out the hole in the center of the bed, under the pedestal? Mine has leaked where the pedestal cables come through. It looks like it was related to water getting into the fitting used to run the GPS cable into the pedestal. I also wonder how "sealed" the base of the pedestal is.

At one point last summer, I had woke up to water inside the ceiling near the head door. I popped off the interior access caps to the port forward jib track, had my son squirt the boat with a hose and found one of the bolts loose holding the track on.

Not just Macs but all boats....where are the most holes... hull or deck....Our Mac26X leaked but all sweet water coming in as rain through EVERY hole ever drilled for a miriad of deck fittings....it took a lot of work to seal them all.Actually I haven't finished the steering binnacle.Leaks also start in one place and then exhibit themselves elsewhere.
Every boat we've owned has leaked....its a real pain in the @#$%

My '96 :macx: has a leak that collects water in the light fixture over the table, then spills down onto the table and collects under the Plexiglas, soaking any map you might want to put down there. I've been meaning to try and track it down, but have not had time yet.

When I trailer in the rain, water comes in all around the companionway hatch.

esc my 97X leaked in the same place into the light over the table.
I took the bolt holding the keel lift block off resiliconed it and
that fixed the leak. Havn't had any other leaks.

Whereever there is a white access cap in to roof there is the chance of a leak, on our 99X we had a leak above the Fore side of the table, we took all the caps of and then one of use used a hose on the outside, after a little while water was visible on the inside below the keel pully fixing, the nut sheard when I tried to tighten it, I replace the nut and bolt with a new stainless steel one and the leak stopped. I have another very occasional leak from one of the companion track bolts but it only appears in extreme rain, I get more drips from condensation after a night aboard so I'm not in a rush to fix that leak quite yet.

I am a new owner of a 99 Mac X and I have been getting a rain water leak on the fiberglas panel, just forward of the transom. The leak seems to be comming from a spot through the fiberglas layers on both sides of the aft collection/drainage bowl. The leak spot is black and runs down the backside of the panel, collects in the channel formed into the bottom of the panel and drips into the aft berth. I have a pic that I would email anyone willing to take a look.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
