The wonderful folks at MDR mast up turned off the water up in the corner today, just as I was going to use it.
They said the boss told them to shut it off, no comments.
They shut off a remote valve somewhere out of sight, plus the 1/4 turn on the other side of the fence.
EZ come-EZ go. It was good while it lasted.
For what it's worth, the coin water inside the gate sez 2 min for .25, but it seemed closer to 3 min.
Much better than the deal at the other .25 stations.
Time to start bringing quarters again.

Hello Bill and Sue.
I am not surprised that the County of Los Angeles Department of Beaches and Harbors eventually caught on to the "free water"(as if it is something very taboo) within the mast-up storage yard. I am surprised that they caught on so quickly. They do appear to be very petty. I do miss the convenience of keeping Tropico there and the fast access to sailing away, but I don't miss the all the nuisance factors that all the tenants encounter there. My best wishes and I am looking forward to sailing with you and the "normal suspects" at Marina Del Rey.

Re: INFO for MDR Mast up folks: Water Off Again
We've decided to leave the "Messed Up Storage Area" at MDR until at least next spring. Although this was not a factor when we decided to leave, it may determine if we will return. I was told that "free" wash water was included in the fee. They may have lost a rental fee because of the cost of wash water. Our boat is now on our driveway.
