Just a reminder to set aside October 8-15 for the annual Fall Flotilla Sail (week long) on Lake Mead's five basins (see calendar for details). Hope to have a fun "Sailing Rally" between Navigation markers / buoys while transiting the basins, given cooperation of winds. Have "Yellow T Shirt" like the Tour de France bike races, for each Rally Leg winners. Small donations appreciated to offset costs of printing T shirts for the Sailing Rally.
Monitoring VHF 68 on the Hour for late comers. No need to start with us or finish with us. Recommend staying for Sherry's Wine and cheese "Turn around party" at mid week.
Hello all Lake Mead Sailors.
I look forward to see everyone at Callville on October 8. I will arrive a few days early with Chris and Angela as crew and will scope out the Virgin Basin for beaches. Will be back to meet everyone at Callville the afternoon of Friday, Oct 8.
You can't control the wind,
but you can adjust your sails.
Blessed be the wind.

I will be launching at Echo Bay Marina Thursday and motor/sailing to Callville. May see you in transit. Bringing the X. I flew over the lake in mid-August and it is looking sad up where the river comes into the lake. The river is almost down to where we used to camp for turn-a-round party.
Hope all the regulars show and perhaps some newbies, should be a great series of sails.
Update for those coming to FF Mead. The National Park Service is showing most of the launch ramps as closed. Check out the ramp you are planning to launch at before starting your trip. Echo is shown as closed but I am calling the local newspaper to get a update.
It' history now. Perfect weather, wind and temps. Ask Pat about the flash flood at Callville, close call. 3 boats and 3 great sailors, so now wondering if water level affects attendance or is it recession. I will be there next year. I traveled 105 miles on my boat and 80% of it was sailing in great conditions and in good company.
