If there is any Canucks out there who have imported used Mac 26x from the USA. I need to expand my search field and would like to know what is required., seems to be lots in California and Texas
I Emailed BWYachts but havent heard any thing for two weeks.
Trucks also as I will need a good tow vehicle.

I imported my 2004 26m in April of this year. As 40 toes indicated it was very straight forward and easy. The website he mentioned is excellent and is what I used. A couple of key things to remember are
1- make sure you have separate titles (ownership) for both the boat and trailer
2- Canadian Customs did ask me how I found out about the boat (I told them I found it online), and then asked if I had a copy of the email discussion where we agreed on price. If you buy online you may want to have a copy of the correspondance you had with the seller on your person when you cross the border.
You dont have to pay duty on a Mac since it is made in the good old USA (just the GST/PST or HST). You can save alot of money buying a mac in the US and their is alot more inventory than in Canada.
