Although I never had mold under the hatch I do have it all over the boat except for the hull as I wax it twice a year.
I use aJax with a green scrub pad to remove the mold from the deck, cockpit and rudders. I then use a power washer to get it off the hatch and cockpit door holders. The power washer works great. It will stay clean for the summer that way.
