Nice Aft made it on a web page

Post by NiceAft »

In August we usually go to Lake George, NY. When I went to make reservations for this summer, I was surprised, and pleased, to see Nice Aft is now part of the inviting scenes that are used to attract people to the area :D

Very nice. You should send them a painting and see if they will post that on their website.

Cheers,

Jim,

They actually have a water color I did of the deck at their beach area. It is hanging in their living room.

Cool! You're famous Ray. BTW, looking at that picture, it appears your mast is raked forward. If it isn't an optical illusion, you may want to look into that.

cheers,

Ray,

After taking a second look at the photo of your Mac I see the Sagamore Resort in the background. It is a great shot !!

Nice, but the photo makes it appear to have some serious negative mast rake.

It doesn't look like reverse mast rake, looks more like the mast is bent forward from the pull of the jib sheets against the back-stayless rig. Probably a common problem on the M models.

One of the reasons I was surprised by the photo was because it was taken five years ago by the owner of the place. He e-mailed it to me, but he never used it. Unexpectedly, five years later it shows up on his web page. He knows I would not mind him using the picture.

Leon and Scott,

I believe the mast may have been pulled forward by the Genoa, but the problem is no longer there. This is a picture done a year or so later. Same Genoa.

Here is one from last year with the new muscle-head, and KH Genoa. This is also the picture which created controversy because of the bumpers. Some believe that bumpers hanging over the side is a no no. I am not one of them :)
