Storage guide for 26M
Inspired by Chinook and others I have created a list of things in my boat and where they are kept. I used Microsoft publisher and translated it to pdf for sharing.

Very nice.
Any chance of emailing me the pub file that I could steal and modify?

It,s a natural....The cheese fondue set works great on the origo stove so no need to bring the burner and stuff.K9Kampers wrote:Now that's STYLIN'!! But your list is incomplete...it doesn't show us where you've put the Monkey Shoulder!S-1 Kitchen

To make a simple cheese fondue just melt a brick of medium cheddar cheese with a real lager...Canadian eh!

That's it John, rub it in
What I did not tell you was that while in Seoul, I bought some Chinese liquor that is 104 proof. There was a deal being offered (I was not aware) that if you bought a gift set that contained a carafe with twelve ceramic cups, you received a 200ml bottle of Johny Walker Blue label. I did not come home with the Monkey Shoulders, but I got a small bottle of JW Blue.
I know it's not Monkey Shoulders, but I guess I will just have to suffer.

Q1,
Nice job on the storage plan. I see included in your inventory is a boat ladder. I have been looking for a boat ladder that is portable and can be placed over the gunnel on either side of the cockpit allowing for easy in and out. I figure I need about 60 inches(5 or 6 steps) of ladder to make it easy to get back on board. Is your boat ladder set up for this? If so, could you share with me where it can be sourced? I already have a ladder mounted on the starboard side of the transome, but it is not easy to get on or off there because of the close quarters(pain in the neck). The little grand kids have a most difficult time getting on and off there as well.
We hope your Bahama adventure is all you dream it to be.
Fair winds,
Jim

I'll have to forward this to the Admiral for review and approval. She's Logistics and Crew Support(food!) I'm Navigation and Facility Maintenance(mods and broken stuff).Québec 1 wrote:Inspired by Chinook and others I have created a list of things in my boat and where they are kept. Re: Storage guide for 26M
I was advised to keep anything heavy stored lower than the cabin table to keep healing to a minimum. We keep moving things around untill it finds a good convienent place. We do not use the std table in the cabin except for a day bed, it's just 2 of us and streaching out over rides eating at a table.
Just about every time we go out sailing for a week or more in the winter months we need to pull every zip lock plastic bag and dry bags out of the lockers to let our Mac M dry out ( the river here is now 29 deg F and condensation is almost everywhere in the lockers especially the lockers that we open regularly). Pulling out everything gives us a chance to keep what we need and take off the boat what we don't.

No way I could use this ladder - - - I'd be in the water 80% of the time
Rick
PS Would be fun for others to watch though.

Re: Storage guide for 26M
We carry one of these rope ladders to board our dingy from swimming in the water, it stays in the dingy when it is inflated.
