Found this pic in YACHTING WORLD JAN. 2009....Apparently caught drugrunning...the penalty would be to lose the yacht...Is it a MAC 70?

Yeah, there was a very short time-period when Roger was experimenting with the (ill-fated) cocaine-ballasted power-sailer design. He sold a few, but they turned out to be a bit pricey for most. :wink:

Apparently the problem with this concept was referring to the ballast in terms of "street value" rather than in terms of weight... :wink:

Yep - plus too many on-board, celebrity parties ended in capsize :-P.

More interesting is on the same Page, Hal Roth has past away. I read most of his books and one called After 50,000 miles inspired me to do the same. I didn't know he pasted away.

We have a program over here called "Coast" watched it the other night and it mentioned this story. apparently its the biggest drugs haul that the Irish Navy have ever had...

Now,,,, is there a joke in here somewhere???????? :)

The Irish Navy, they have floating pubs that happen to have guns on them. :D :wink:
