If any of those who were able to meet up happened to have a camera on-board, please post pictures.

Hello all,

My name is James and my boat 'Wayfarer' is based on the Potomac near National Harbor.
I have a 2007 Blue 26M; I bought it from Capt Jim in Mayo MD.

I only just saw the messages about the meetup today :(

How did it go? When is the next one?

James

James,

I thought it went pretty good, we had two 26Xs and two 26Ms. We all rafted up to a raft near High Island in the Rhode River.

It was a floating feast of Hotdogs, barbqued beef sandwiches, surfer salid, fresh fruit, chips, and a number of different beverages!

We then checked out each others boat to see how they were set up (mods/ changes).

I have some Pics I will try to post or leave a link to them on Sunday.

Rick on 'Bossa Nova'
Steve & Jean on 'Caliente'
Tim & Sandy on 'temall00'
Will on 'Island Time' (me)

I would like to participate in another one in a few weeks!
Will

We missed a great time, didn't we? The only thing that was missing was the shrimp we bought for the party. Confounded wiring! We're headed back out to the boat today to hopefully finish up Jim's rewiring party (he can tell you all about that) and clean her up. We did find one good reason for missing last weekend - we've had the boat for over 1.5 years and have never used the head. I hauled it out, to find the lower back corner of the holding tank was covered in duct tape. *Huh?? :| Well, I cleaned up, didn't see any leaks, so put in the water & chemical and just left it sitting on the ground for a couple of hours to dry. When Jim picked it up - you guessed it - it was dripping. So the upside is that we didn't find that issue the hard way! eeewwwww! We know what our next investment is....

After that we'll definitely be up for trying this again. What's everyone doing around Labor Day?
