Highlander thanks, Thats exactly what I need to do, the piece the dealer said he would order is almost exactly like that, but made of stainless. And its about three inches out from the motor. I looked at the angle my rod is at now and no wonder the steering is a little hard, Im actually way off and the angle is to steep to be efficient. Let alone my rod is one inch to short (the one on the engine) with that angle.

Now tell me what engine you are going to put on the mac? What Brand? What color boat did you get Blue or white? the blue ones are faster.
