The windows are a strange size, so you either have to cut the deck, or mount the hatch in the window. I purchased one to do this on the head side last year, but haven't installed it yet. I'll also add a layer of plexy cut to the size of the interior opening to help reinforce and provide a better mounting surface for the hatch.
I also got a interior cover that has an integrated screen and cover.
The Black pearl had them installed on her , but I think installing one in the existing hatch would look alot nicer & give a nice view of the evening sky !
Yes, we installed lewmar opening hatches into the forward top windows on the Black Pearl. It worked great, but the hatches aren't cheap, about $350-$400 each if I remember correctly. The aluminum frame of the hatches provides plenty of support for the window but I did put a trim ring of Black Starboard on the inside to screw into and hide the fasteners.

Now How Do You Keep Those Black Stripes (window stripes) Looking so good? ( ok so its a small knife and I got it out of the butter dish...)
