05 M wheel bearing/seal part numbers?

Post by Hardcrab »

Has anyone replaced the inner and outer bearings and oil seals on their trailer?
How about wheel studs and lug nuts?
I did a search here and found some partial information from a 2006 post, but not enough to get a warm fuzzy feeling.
I need to bring my boat home, 150 miles, and I want to change the bearings before I do.
Any help with part numbers or sites to order will be well used.
Thanks for your help.

The part numbers are marked on the parts you are considering, you can remove them first, then go to the parts store with that info. Or, you can buy them first, even as a kitted package, by knowing certain diameter dimensions of you application.

I spent a day visiting nearly twenty marina / auto / trailer supply stores before finding a boatyard that could special order the special wheel studs. I don't have that info at the moment, but it would seem to be a unique product.

Its a pity you are not a bit closer Hardcrab, or you could have had mine :( . Little used before the trailer upgrade and sitting idle in the garage since.

If you are looking for boat trailer parts I'd suggest;

http://www.easternmarine.com/
OR
http://www.championtrailers.com/

I've used both of them and they never never let me down. Replacement seals & bearings depend upon the size of the spindle. Take one side apart and measure the two different bearing surfaces, then order the appropriate parts.

Good Luck,

Hi Guys/Gals,

I have one oft he last steel trailers for a 26 M .. produced sometime in 2006 .. Can anybody please tell me ... the serial/part numbers or even sizes for the trailer bearings/trailer seals ... as I would love to keep a spare set in case of failure.

I appreciate that I can strip the hubs down to see them ... but being lazy .. I was hoping that smeone could tell me what they are !!!

Thanks all
