New Member w/Mac Purchase Issues?

Post by MBertin »

Thank you Jim,

The link was more then interesting. I realize that the Mac Gregor I was looking was in fact a 25 instead of 26 (year 1986) and the outboard engine of 25Hp was in fact a 20HP with a modified attachment plate so it could be mounted instead of the 8 HP. The owner is asking 10K but seem to be too expensive and the hull is blue....
I will continue my research to find the good McGregor for me.
Have great day,

Marc,

Hi Everybody,

I finally find a good boat for me :) . I found a MacGregor 25 year 1986 in good condition. Engine is a Tohatsu 9.9 (2 stoke). See the picture.
Image.
No I will be able to use all technical information from this forum to improve it.

Do you know the procedure to post picture directly on the forum without going to the web address?

Thank you,

Marc

Marc,

Congrats on your purchase. Welcome to the wonderful world of Macgregor ownership.

To post pics here is the info from the FAQ (see above for link to FAQ):
Can I post images?
Yes, images can be shown in your posts. If the administrator has allowed attachments, you may be able to upload the image to the board. Otherwise, you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.example.com/my-picture.gif. You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor images stored behind authentication mechanisms, e.g. hotmail or yahoo mailboxes, password protected sites, etc. To display the image use the BBCode [img] tag.
However, I believe you have to have 10 posts before the system will allow you to post a pic.

I recommend photobucket.com for a site to store your pics. You have to have them on a website and then post a link to the pic here on this website. Photobucket seems pretty easy to use.

Try doing a search on "photobucket" and you should find some other posts about using that website and how to put a picture in your posts.

ON EDIT: searching on "photobucket" got too many hits so I did an "advanced search" on "posting pictures" and found a few good threads:

Posting Pictures and
Pictures (embedding an image)

Good Luck,
