Yeeesh....time to get this boat in the water. These walls have been the hold-up. I'm finally installing them today. Took some quick pics before they leave the shop. The doors aren't on yet - I need to finish them up. Also, the ladder swivel parts are on being made at a local metal shop - hopefully the ladder will be done this week as well.
Cheers!

The padding is stiff polyethylene, closed-cell foam.

Whaaaaaao. That looks nice.
I like the magazine racks. For sure something to think about for the front berth bulk head.
Currie, did you cover your electronics from the back or is it sticking out into the aft cabin?
What bulbs are you using in those beautiful lights?
Currie, can you give me a head start with a drawing of the front berth so I can start putting my thoughts into it and modify as needed?
I know I’m pushing it but I definitely can not compete with your drawing skils.

Bob,
With your new bulkheads in place, how far back can you slide the galley? Or put another way, how long is the bunk forward of the galley when you have the galley as far aft as it can go now?
Sometimes I regret seeing all these great mods that many of you guys do to your Macs. Gets me dreaming too much...
Thanks,
Jim

Thanks guys!
Some info: The bulbs in the lights are currently just standard issue 1141 amp-hogs. I'll replace them with LED eventually. I have the '04 model with the forward galley, so there's seating on each side, against the new walls. I haven't covered the bulkhead backs yet...it's pretty homely behind. I may use cloth or carpeting...covering the radio back with a cage, or grating or something for cooling. Otherwise, the install went pretty well....No doors yet, and the ladder is in the shop now getting modified. Everything in the pic below (fake plants, etc.) is bolted down.
Cheers!

He has an '04 Mac Jim, no sliding galley, it is fixed between the daggerboard and starboard hull. That is why he is able to do this mod in the first place. It works best on the '03-'04 models.c130king wrote:Bob,
