more mods to our 04M

Post by Paul S »

I finished some more mods, and took some pics of some old ones that I didn't publish before.
2008 Spring Mods part 2

I found a new way (to me at least) to run wires up to the area above our galley (04 location)- I used some surface mount wire conduit - and the tan closely matches the tan gelcoat. You really need to look for it to see it. It is behind the daggerboard trunk.

Again, if anyone has questions how (or why) I did something, let me know

oh yea, if you get LED bulbs, chances are you will have to reverse the wires on the light. They won't worked wired as the M is.

Hi can you post details of how you made the cockpit hatch covers - they look good.

Cheers

The white wood hatch board cover? I just measured the opening and made the board a hair smaller. The return at the top I used glue and biscuits, I painted it with exterior house paint.

The pockets were pretty time consuming. You also need a sailrite or similar heavy duty machine to do it. Most home machines will not go through all the material.
