Duane, I think the load of A/C, fridge, and microwave puts the power usage in a category that is two orders of magnitude greater than lights, DVD's and gameboys. 8) The idea of having A/C while cruising in Florida conditions is certainly appealing. I am just trying to get to a point where I can use A/C on shorepower!

Pretty cool boat (and only 45 minutes away) although I have a better water system :P Except for the water system and the microwave I have, I try to keep things pretty simple....and the weight not that far from 3500 either.

I'm with Frank on the hatch though. I have a 2000 model and it works great, seals tight as a drum.

Yes, back to the topic, my '96 has the original seal and it never leaks either. When you just drop the hatch you can see daylight but if you screw the latch tight it easily pulls the hatch down enough to eliminate all daylight and make a complete seal.
