John,

Gorgeous work! - as always. I love cutter rigs. Questions: Do you ever fly more than two head sails at a time, or just use alternate them in different conditions? If you fly more than two, how do you manage the sheets? Wouldn't she have wicked lee helm?

Inspiring pics. Thanks

Bob

I have flown both genny, jib at the same time & the boat points very high now with my idasailor rudders, no weather or lee helm, also flown jib & my furled spin together , the storm sail was added to late to try out. Next yr I wiil fly three headsails gen, jib, storm together , with my mast ext. all I need to do now is add a 26X boom & I'll be able to fly an 26X mainsail :)
everything is rigged to allow all 4 headsails to be flown at the same time & I will be trying that next yr when I can get Beene & Alex on board for "rail meat" . This set up allows for about 16 diff. headsail configurations :D 8)

Thanks John - looking forward to the sailing pics. I'll keep an eye out for you on the Saginaw Bay in case she runs wild on a nor'easter :D :)

Wow John! Awesome looking rig. With all that canvas, you might consider one of those BWY or Mike Inmon ballasted keels. Though, knowing you, you can probably make your own.

Thanks for sharing,
Leon

Wow. I'm envious. My 4 headsails can fly only one at a time. Ron

Born in Scotland , left home at age 15yrs , left UK at 19yrs to see a wee bit of the world !!!, And believe this the only sailing I did in scotland was on Loch Lommond in an orange crate with a inner rubber tube sqeezed over it, broom pole & single bed sheet was my rig I was maybe 9yrs old then ? my Mother never did find out ! lucky for me :D but she was always trying to figure out where that bed sheet went to ! :o
So if you'd call that a "crazy streak" I guess I'd fit the bill :D :D :D

Amazing Job :!:

Im not sure I could "single handle" all the lines running aft.

Once again, I tip my hat to a clever Mac Sailor.

Im wondering if any danger exists for a Mac-M mast without a rear back stay, and having 3 fore-sails along with the main sail?

I'll let you know sooner than you think ? :) :P  :macm:
but I'm thinking running backstays maybe required ! :P
