Re: Washington DC Macgregor Sailors
Watching for details to unfold. I'm in the Stafford, VA area and only get up to the DC area about twice a year, mostly under power with my Mac and on a tight schedule. Interesting idea at this stage...

I'm currently running a 1.75 Gamefisher. I've had it forever, but I only need to kick around 99% of the time. If you want to get on plane you'll need more. I'm not sure what that would take, so the replies here hold my interest as well. I'm sure more hp would be more fun to tour with.

I see two other
on my way out of Aquia Creek here in VA and a lot more on Potomac Creek at the Marina. I thought there was a Google map that had Mac's listed on it.

Re: Light & comfortable PFD?
We also have the West Marine Coastal Automatic Inflatable Life Vests and like them. For us, much more wearable and comfortable than a full regular vest. We have had two discharges for unknown reasons, but suspect it may have been from excessive heat during storage. You may find other quality produc...

Re: Honda EU2000i Location While Moored
I have an EU 2000. I connect directly from it's plug to my shore power inlet. (This cord also serves me when I connect to power at home.) I can then run things below just like on shore power but I am, of course, still restricted by the amount of watts the generator can produce. I have used a power ...

Re: Chesapeake Bay sailing recommendations? (From Powersailors)
My wife and I like to go to Spring Cove Marina. http://www.springcovemarina.com/ It's a little slice of heaven to get away from the rat race and relax. Hospitality is excellent here, the staff is great. It's neat and clean with outstanding bath houses, has a 5 acre squirrel park that's perfect for ...
