Re: Mac 26 C
Yes the C is considered Classic both S and D. At our lake the PHRF on the S is 222, D 216.
Although Wings, a realy fast D with a good skipper has been modified to 201.
They modified mine las year to 219.

Re: Any MacGregors on Eagle Mountian Lake Ft. Worth Texas?
Not at Eagle Mountain however we have around 6 D’s and S’s at Bay Side Ray Hubbard. There are only about 3 of us that sail regularly and race. The other 3 just get used once in a while. I have been over there at the Ft Worth boat club for the Lukemia reggata. Let me know if you ever get over this way.

Re: Sail shape - what am I doing wrong?
Reconditioned sail is cleaned and treated. They can not reverse stretch/“bolt rope shrinkage” tune it the best you can and increase back stay to flatten in higher winds. If it still bothers you buy a new sail.

Re: OB up or down?
Stock trailer tow with it up. Hav a 9.9 Yamha and have had no issues. If it rips out your transom is rotted.

Re: Where is the bilge in my 26D?
There is not a boat made that needs a bilge pump. Until there is a leak! :D Since the boat has the ballast tank and it is high in the center I put 2 smaller pumps on ether side of the ballast tank. Each pump discharges to the opposite side. Do not put your exit where I did. Get the exit above the ru...

Drill and tap. Then use Locktite on the screws. It keeps them in and reduces dissimilar metal corrosion.

Re: Outboard Motor Mount while trailering
I still have the original trailer for my 94 S. It has a 9.9 remote Yamaha on it. Not feasible to remove for trailering. On mine if I leave it down it will hit in some situations so I always tow with it up. The one issue I had was the balance of the trailer (and boat). The previous owner put both bat...

A traveler works good. This one is not too expensive. I converted it down to a 3 to 1 and it works gret.

Re: Need help adjusting verniers on my Mac 25.
In my case, I can't use the two-awl method on the upper sidestays, as it was at the longest setting possible until this spring when I readjusted it one full hole pitch tighter, which was the smallest adjustment I could make. The female part has a 1/2" hole pitch, with the male piece on the shr...

Re: Boatlift Support for 1993 M26s
Thanks Tom! Yes I would not want to have a small boat sitting in the water all the time here. I was lucky on the lift. My best racing friend was pulling his J24 out and selling it. He did not want to deal with the lift so he just told me if I take over his last 6 months on his slip lease he would gi...

Re: Need help adjusting verniers on my Mac 25.
X2 on rigging tape. It can save you from tearing a sail, also having a second item securing the pin in is alwys good when you are talking about keeping the mast up.
On the other hand I always used 2 awl's and did not have any issues.
