Re: $2150 repair estimate for my trailer
I'm basically in the same boat so to speak as the original topics author. I tow on desolate stretches with no shoulder most of the time, even a flat could be a major issue. IMHO spending 2k on a trailer that is still gong to be pig with lipstick after I'm finished is just not an option. As much as I...

Re: $2150 repair estimate for my trailer
Thanks for the link, although the trailer is closer (SoCal) they want $5200 plus tax,gas & time for it. I'm slowly figuring out that by the time I factor in tax & delivery fuel. (No time mind u) I'll have to spend $5500 for a new, tandem axle, aluminium trailer. I'm still waiting for info fr...

Re: $2150 repair estimate for my trailer
I too need a new trailer and the only one I can find on the west coast is a $4500 tandem axle advertised on these pages.
I need the tandem axle but the price seems to high, do you know of any other similar trailers available on the west coast?
Please list model and manufacturer.
Thanks

Re: Who has a BBQ? Which one?
I've got a Magma which works great even in a breeze mounted on the stern rail like many of you but I fuel it from a 5 gal composite LPG tank mounted in the corner of back deck, this tank also supplies my on demand water heater and Dickenson cabin heater. The Magma is in my opinion well made, from th...

Re: Fuse panel w/dual battery monitor
thanks everyone, I finally found that its a Sea Dog panel and I've ordered a new one for @ $50. Then I can use the old one for spare parts if need be. I also hate the design of the holders but am taking the easy way out and replacing like with like. The individual fuse holders are available for @ $2...

Re: Fuse panel w/dual battery monitor
The Chech link is exactly what I need. A "Marinetech" panel but I can't find a US source or any other info related to "Marinetech" products.
Do you speak/read Chech? If you do please throw me a line!
Getting closer!
Thanks
James

Re: Fuse panel w/dual battery monitor
I broke the housing that holds the fuse and the housing is attached to the buss bar in the back. If I could find an identical fuse holder, a fix might be possible however if I could replace the unit for under $100 I think I'd be money and time ahead. I'm going to follow up on the Chech lead in a pre...

Fuse panel w/dual battery monitor
Ahoy, I'm looking for a 3 switch panel with dual battery monitoring to replace the one I just broke a fuse holder in. It looks just like a regular panel but has a toggle switch to read either of the two batteries. I've looked in all the usual places on line and am stiking out. Any sources? :( Fixed ...

Re: Installing 70 hp on my 26M
Hey Trout, I'll tell you a story about my Suzuki DF50. 3 weeks ago I was in Page Arizona backing my 26x Highlight into lake Powell for a 2 week cruze with the admiral. Worked for weeks making mods, pressurized water, holding tanks, hot water, heater, propane sys bla bla bla. Towed the boat @900miles...

Re: Plumbing a 2000 26x
Thanks for the input, I will proceed as planned. I am installing a real water pump and I also live in a location that can get pretty chilly, hence the heater in my plan. I'm using poly pipe for the inlet which is the line where the trap is. I will be building drain valves into sys to drain at least ...

Plumbing a 2000 26x
Hello, I am installing a couple of "bag" tanks in the spaces just fwd of the center board on each side of the boat. I have installed my filler port on the fore deck and routed the piping down thru the space fwd of the anchor locker and thru the fwd flotation compartment below. Yes I'm goin...
