Re: Raise the trailer winch, avoid the Bump
A couple of weeks ago we attended a winterizing class at BWY. Todd had done some work on my boat and remembered that I have Newells mod on the trailer winch and ask how it was working. I told him that the new bottom paint makes it too sticky to winch on and now I have had to again start doing the bu...

Re: Where do you stick your boom??
Quebec 1 and ALX357, do you store the boom with the main sail attached or just the boom. We have lazy jacks that wrap around the main and then we put the cover on it and store the boom with the main attached. Most of the time the mast end of the boom is in the Vee and the aft end of the boom sits on...

Where do you stick your boom??
Now Highlander don't get the wrong idea from the title............. For those of you that have trailered a few days down the road and used the :macx: as a camper; where do you put the boom. Just about every spot we tried sticking it, it was in the way. In the Vee it sticks out to far and messes with...

Hey Restless……….
Something I don’t understand, even after rereading this thread several times.
I get why you need a vacuum in the head…. Cleaning up “crap”
But what the heck do ya need a frying pan for in a bathroom??
Is it somkind of super scoopin' ????????

Re: Clogged rear drain hole
Try this for a clean drain:

Just poke it the the drain and start the water going, slow at first and up a bit at a time.
It cleans the drain just like Roto-Rooter

Re: Differences between older and newer 26M's
And to further steal the thread with Catigale.......... At least with an :macx: you can stand up in the head…… in the :macm: you pull down your drawers and backup praying you hit the hole….. you may even need to turn on the back up warning horn, in case one of your shipmates had the fish taco trots ...

Re: Raise the trailer winch, avoid the Bump
A couple of years ago I contacted Newell and got his mod which I added. Following his instructions I simply moved the winch to the top of the bar it was normally mounted on then drilled a ¾ inch hole in the bar and ran the winch strap up thru it. I have to say I had great luck for a year and a half ...

Hi Ole knowledgeable :macx:’ers, We've been thinking we would like to leave the Bim up all the time and use the cover to protect it while trailering. GOOD Idea or BAD. The few times we have left the Bim up it was in the way when we board from the rear. We see that many of you have arches on your boa...

Re: Step for marina boarding?
When at the dock we use a simple sep ladder/seat and just step up and in. http://www.fatherland.com.sg/images/vinvin-3-step-ladder.jpg We got ours at Harbor Freght on sale for $13. When not is use it folds flat and slides in behind the head in our :macx: We are looking at steeling Mr. Dunn's idea an...

Re: Macgregor Decals or namethingymebobs
Guess I forgot to say that after the WD-40 we use joy dish soap and all the WD-40 goes away too. We have tried MEK and thinner and have had it attack the new paint; Where the WD-40 just removes the sticky with out harm to the new paint. This process has been around quite a while, I learned to use it...

Re: Macgregor Decals or namethingymebobs
We have had great success using WD-40 to remove sticky left from stickers to Duct Tape. Spray a cloth and rub-a-dub-dub no more sticky for you bub :| Just put some duct tape on the inside liner and use a multitool vibe cutter to make holes. Pulled off the duct tape and had a mess of sticky. Rubbed i...
