MacGregor Dealer in Vancouver, BC ?

Does anybody have the name of the dealer in the lower mainland around Vancouver? They would have taken over for Gerry Berg.

Has anyone got a photo of the bottom of the mast and through deck connections?

Re: 26M antenna choice/advice

Thanks March,

So did you use a 3' whip antenna with connectors at the top and bottom of the mast?

26M antenna choice/advice

I have just acquired a used ICON M - 402VHF and would like some advice on antenna choices and locations. I like the thought of keeping the cockpit area clear as I like to fish and salmon can have me moving all about the cockpit. I am not opposed to deck mounting fibreglass antenna by the mast,or goi...

Re: Spreader Replacement

Well it would seem as though my problem has been fixed. I managed to straighten the spreader, sanded down a push broom handle, lathered it up with silicon and slid it right in. The result is quite nice, it just feels right and I would recommend it to anyone who cant tuck their spreaders under the li...

Re: Spreader Replacement

So far, it sounds as though I am not far off the mark as I was thinking getting some good ol' hickory push broom handles to cut and insert. I have netting from the bow back to the cockit which forces me to take them off the mast for transport. I think the inserts will provide some support during thi...

Spreader Replacement

Can anyone give me a reason why I cannot or should not replace my spreaders with something a liitle more substantial than the standard feather weight spreaders? It would seem to me that one would have to go out of their way to find such light gauge material supplied. I was handed a slightly bent one...

Re: Any Mac Trolling Fisherman?

I though a couple of 60" downriggers mounted as far forward in the cockpit would also provide some stability while at anchor using rocker stoppers. Any thoughts out there?

Re: Windlass

I have one and it works great. We sail the Pacific Northwest with a four & two year old and having that anchor switch below my wheel is a real comfort. Never had a problem with it and could only imagine bad scenarios without it.

Boat Swapping Anyone ?

I was wondering if, within our community of Mackers, anyone has discussed a registry for those interested in swapping boats for new cruising grounds. It would seem to me that this is the perfect forum to do so as it is within a closed group of people that are familar to one another, most obviously t...

You've Done It!

I am thoroughly impressed. Having just bought my 2005 late last September with a seven month old boy hasn't provided me with many opportunities to sail or modify. I knew I liked the look of that Dinghy-tow product and I knew somebody had the smarts to come up with an alternative. Now that you've don...
