I have spent an hour looking for a discussion that covered a couple that sailed their boat to the bahamas. I believe it was a Catalina sailboat. It was a link to another sailing website. My friend has a similar sailboat and I was telling him about the extensive modifications for the 2 of them and a cat,
Cant find it, please help!!

Steve-
I know of an eight-part photo journal by a young couple named Brian & Stephanie, with a cat, that sailed a Hunter (26?) named Empty Pockets to the Bahamas. She is known for having literally a different bikini for every picture. My link to them goes nowhere, but I know there are several to get there. I'll keep searching for a link that works. Perhaps this is the one you're thinking of?
Edit add...In Hunterowners.com, I've found 3 of 8 photo pages + an owners review that lists the mods, the boat is a Hunter 25.5
Owners review
Cruisin' in a 25.5
If these look right, let me know and I'll link more.

I found it! Here's a page with all the Empty Pocket photo pages, 17 of them!: Cruizin' in a 25.5, a peek inside, stern rehab,...

Here's a search request...Well over a year ago, I had stumbled upon a Mac X page that I forgot to bookmark and haven't been able to find since. The points, as I remeber them...Cruising grounds somewhere in the Pacific NW, Mac 26X, singlehander with dog (I think), substantial wood galley & dinette mods, a fuel-type heater plumbed thru the cabin top, hammock mod on the bow. Ring a bell with anyone?
