FLOOD BALLAST

Post by djmmcgregor25 »

Okay, i just got a mac 25 1980-

Does this '80 mac 25 have a flood ballast system? Is it actually a venutre or a mac 25? The look of the interior layout is closest to a mac 25 but not exactly so in the kitchen layout.

The question is. Where the heck is the flood bolt? I can find an exteral plug or the the topside bolt to open and close the valve.

Might sound silly but its new to me and a hand-me-down. I need rel specifics, here , hopefuly a pictire or schematic!!

Thank you,

Dave :)

The Mac 25 or venture 25 did not have a water ballast , Just a swing keel of about 625 lbs. If there is water in your boat you have a problem .

Hi, Have a look here. There appear to be manuals on all Macgregors listed.
