We have "Just Add Water" trailer moored on Merritt Island and love sailing the ICW. But my Grandmother lives in Clearwater and would like to sail Tampa Bay. I need ideas for ramp location with parking. Clean-up area nearby would also help. The closer to Clearwater the better. Of course... I drive the Skyway bridge every couple of weeks and it would be great to sail that area too....
Any thoughts?
Ramps, Parking etc.. Tampa Bay

You might see a response from Dimitri, in Tampa, but he's not visiting the Forum every week. Meantime, you can use the top-center search button. Search on tampa and find a couple of threads toward bottom of that hit-list, page 1, plus 3 more pages that might have something of interest.
Welcome aboard ... good luck!

I put in Florida and tampa and left county blank and got 2 pages of listings
You do not seem to have to be a memeber to use it but for the 10 dollars it costs on top of my boat towing it seems pretty good to me

Check out the virtual tour site of Ft. Desoto Park.
Not the closest to Clearwater, but it is located at the mouth of Tampa Bay near Egmont Key and within site of the Skyline Bridge. It has a 800-foot-long boat launching facility with eleven floating docks. I was there for the first time last Monday and Tuesday and almost had the whole place to myself. There is a $5.00 charge to park there overnight which is payable by credit card at the automated card readers installed in the parking lot.
