Main Sail Crease

I have been sailing my mac 26M since may of this year so relatively new at this. I have just noted a crease in the mainsail when it is up. What should I adjust to get rid of the crease???
I would post a picture but I don't know how. The crease starts just above the Clew and runs about 45 degrees up to mid Luff. Any ideas??

Thanks,

A photo would help. I usually put my photos on photobucket. You can set up a free account. Then I post the link.

I wonder if your outhaul is too tight. I don't recall ever seeing a crease like that on mine.

2 things to check.

1) make sure the main sheet and vang are completely loose before hoisting the mainsail. otherwise the sail tension from the clew prevents the full hoist and forms the crease you describe.

THis is probably your problem

The second one is to cut the stitching off the luff bolt rope as described on a bunch of other posts. .
