Hi All
Just received my M steering pod that I odered back in Feb. for my MAC19. I had read a couple of weeks ago I beleive on this site that Roger had changed the design well I'm happy to say I got the newly designed one & I really like it . It is all fiberglass simular to the X mac . Its white " U " shaped front & sides , flat black plexiglass on backside. Looking at it from the back its paddle shaped stands 38" tall & on the same foward angle as the 05 pod , top of pod is 9" wide 9 1/2" deep, leg is 5 1/4"wide, 7" deep. Inside base opening 4 1/4" x 6 1/2" lots of room to run cables & wiring . The flat black plexiglass backside " face " is from top to floor & would allow you to mount instruments all the way down the leg there is a pie shaped window already just below the steering wheel mount, the backside of the plexiglass is re enforced with 1/2 " plywood , there is an access window on the port side of the pod 5 1/2" x 7 1/2"
Happy Sailing John S.

Hi Kevin
First sorry I've not had time to mail you that CD yet but it will be coming ok . My daughter got posted from Base Borden Ont. to Victoria BC Canada So that kinda took over priority's had to help her move so she's in the navy now . so my house is full of twice as much funiture as I need can't move anyware hope she gets a place soon out their Ha Ha . . Brother inlaw Ken great guy is going to Ottawa Ont. from Calgary Al. this week to be awarded the Order Of military merit so I'm heading to Ottawa for that , so it's a pround moment for our family's right now . Anyway designed , made & installed a new extended bow rail to my 4ft bowsprit that incoporates a bow seat & walk through cat walk that lets you board the boat from the bow looks great of course thats my opinion also got me a nice new bimini top with stainless steel tubing & hardware & installed on 4ft genoa track all for about $300.00 can. from that marine flea market I told you about all brand new black sumbrello will try & post photo's ok. and also the new steering pod . Kevin I'm going to have to recheck to see if the 11ft steering cables you used will be long enough for the new steering pod . were they long enough for your pod was the fit neet or could you have used a little more cable say 12ft just feeling for some extra help here before I order cables . Thx JS

was by the Mac plant yesterday and saw the new design.
no pictures to show you, but a very cool concept vs. the old M pedestal.

I see the photo now but can't quite fiqure it out with the cardboard backing, looks like it is still wrapped. Any chance of seeing the front side?

It's not cardboard. Its the paper film that the plexiglass comes covered in.
The whole aft side is just plexiglass.
The remainder of the pedestal looks pretty arcuate, which looks like it would present issues for mounting stuff...
It looks cool/futuristic. But, I'll stick to my stock one...
