What the heck are these called? Are where do I buy them?

I added some extra holes in the cockpit of my

while doing some mods, and now I need to find a nice way to conceal them. Our boat already has a few little white plastic / rubber/ foam (not sure which really) plugs in a number of pre-existing holes -- but for the life of me I can't find anything like them online.
Can anyone tell me what these things are called and where I might buy them. I've searched all the regular marine sites for plugs, covers, hole concealers, etc. -- with zero luck.
Surely some vendor sells these in various sizes and wants my money...

Are you talking about the plastic plugs 3/4" to 1" diam." If so they are available at Ace hardware, and if you screw one up, you can redrill the hole an 1/8" larger all the way up to 2-1/2

Yeah, Home Depot has them. Take one up with you so they will know what you're looking for.

I can't find any 2" diameter ones in Home Depot or anywhere else. I've been calling them nylon pushcaps. I'm going to try calling Macgregor.

I found some smaller ones at HD. I didn't find any at the local Ace though. I bought a handful from Bill boats4sail a while back..so you can always go that route.

Our ACE Hardware has all sizes of plugs.....try a shop that specializes in fasteners....there is at least one shop in every town that specializes in bolts, nuts, devices you can't get elsewhere.......

You can also get them through McMasterhttp://
www.mcmaster.com/
Search for finishing plugs.
I believe this would be on page 3551.
You can buy a lots of good stuff through McMaster instead of running to marina store

Truevalue has a section with all those flat drawers containing all kinds of goodies. Covers for bolt heads, nuts...Inserts to fill all kids of holes. And in colors too. Used to use the stuff on my motorcycles.

The standard plugs are 7/8 and 1 1/4". Our local HDs do not carry them, and despite me reading seveal times Ace has them, none of our local stores does. Lowes has them, but the 7/8 size they carry in black only and nothing larger than 1". My McMaster Carr catalog lists the 7/8 plugs in white but the 1 1/4" only in black.
You can get them from Blue Water Yachts.
