Crossing the Oceans

Here is an alternative for shipping your Mac to/from Europe. Instead of using a standard container, there are also companies that ship yachts this way. A popular run is from the Caribean to Europe. I am sure there are also companies that do this on the Pacific. So if you are thinking of a world trip but want to skip the dangers of crossing the ocean yourself this might be a good alternative.

what, are they floating in there, all tied up together ? if floating inside the transport's hull, is it an isloated water pool, or open on the bottom to the ocean ? l....Looks like it is open at the stern to the ocean.

NO they are not floating, thay are standing on some sort of wooden supports, the same as they use to store a ship on shore for winter strorage. ( if you do not have a trailer). Check out the animation video on their site it explains how it works.

That's ingenious. Wonder how the little Mac would looked sandwiched between those multimillion dallar yachts?

The price should be noted at around $15,000! Might as well buy a boat when you get there!

Surely I'll be able to get a discount. Looks like there's plenty of little spots left over -- just right for my

.
I'll just plan to liveaboard during the voyage and earn my keep by ferrying the big boat folks to and from shore when we arrive.

You may go for free Zavala when you park it on the helicopter deck of one of those big yachts.

Hmmm... my boat boat only weighs a little over 1500 pounds. I wonder how hefty those million dollar davits are? I think we have a plan.
And who said a Mac couldn't cross the Pacific?

Way, way cool. What an novel idea.
Wonder what the situation was when that idea was hatched.
