Impeller replacement on Suzuki DF50

There was recently a very well written and detailed procedure for replacing the impeller on a Tohatsu. I'm hoping there is someone out there that has done the same thing on a 2002 Suzuki DF50. I need to replace the impeller this year, and not having been around outboards much before this, I'm not really sure where to start.

I've thought about trying to order the service manual from Suzuki, but as was noted, these manuals are typically written for someone who already knows what they are doing.

Does anyone out there have any recommendations?

Hello:
I want to clarify, the Tohatsu manual was written with a lack of detail. That does not mean that the Suzuki manual is written the same way.

The process will be the same but some of the detail will be different.

Go to Suzuki web page and the viedo link will show you how, real cool!

Under warranty, but...

The impeller is a "Consumable" item, and not covered by the warranty. The water in the Delta is murky, and that creates a grit that wears out impellers faster. The recommendation from several people in the know is to replace the impeller every year.

This is coming from a power boat owner, and since I sail part of the time, I've put it off one year, but this is the season that I need to do the impeller replacement.

I'll check out the Suzuki site and see if I can find the "Video". Thanks for your help.
