Flex-Trim edge covering

Post by ALX357 »

FOUND IT at McMaster.com, supplier McMaster-Carr in Atlanta, their item number 24175K33, sold by the foot @ $1.35, no minimum.
It is made by Trim-Lok in California, sell to wholesalers only at $0.99 /foot, their order number 2000SB3X 3/4"

Rubber edge trim - like that sold by WM and Boaters World et al. under the brand Taco, that can be had in a 3/4" opening, and smaller sizes to edge the top of the companionway cover, and the down-facing edge of the sliding hatch, (which i hit with my head several times a week ) and to give a more finished look to the inside of the door jamb in the head.
The companionway edge at head-height standing at the galley is thick and sharp-edged, and the stick-on dense foam edging i put on last winter can't stand up to the summer heat, fell off, and left its mess to clean off. No more stick-on stuff for the Mac, (and no suction cups stuff either)
This Taco flexible edge trim is a great poduct, soft rubber 3-sided molding that holds tight with aluminum segmented stiffener inside, and when it fits, makes a great edging - protective for the edge and my noggin.
