BOAT SOLD NO LONGER NEED TRAILER
My 26x has been stored/abandoned in a boat storage place that is shutting down. I must move the boat and the old rusted trailer is long gone. Anyone can help?
Thanks.
Probably

the boat as well

Craigs List? If you are getting rid of it, maybe let someone else figure it out.

I will have similar issue later this year with my 26m, so I am interested in what you found as a solution.
I have not used them, but with google I found:
https://asaboattrailerrental.com/. They have generic boat trailers. Bunks are different than original. However, I have seen in forums people using trailers and boat lifts that use longitudinal bunks, so if that is only option, it is risk worth taking,

I'd agree with Russ. Unless a palm tree shot through it like Cupid's Arrow during a hurricane or something, and even then,
someone will want that boat. They ain't making no more of 'em!
On behalf of all fellow "fixer-upper" adopters everywhere, I'm begging you to put a few pictures of her up here!

Hmmmm, it's the elusive, ultra-high speed beige hull Mac. Beats a white hull any time, and forget those blue hull barges.
Almost looks like an Island Packet, only faster. Much faster.
OP: I'm sure someone will want it. And you can always have the yard move it with their hydraulic boat-moving trailer. Assuming they have one, but I've never seen a boat yard that didn't.

It's on the wrong coast and all, but it looks like someone's been trying to sell an original '99 factory 26X trailer since last year and asking $1000:
https://macgregorsailors.com/classified ... item&id=53.
It's described as being "in good working order" and reportedly being sold because the owner wants to upgrade to a dual axle. Maybe it's long sold and just a "zombie ad"...Maybe they've changed their mind about the dually...Maybe "good working order" is an overly-kind assessment. There's a lotta "maybes", but at least it's a lead. If it's still available a year later I'd guess that asking price might be quite flexible by now. Finding out how much an outfit like U-Ship might want to haul it from California to Florida is just a matter of asking for quotes. When the dust settles it might work out about the same or perhaps even cheaper than a trailer rental, and the new owner'd get to KEEP it. Then again, I'd have guessed Florida must be carpeted full of orphaned boat trailers that might work well enough with a bit of this or that, and which would be pretty much available for the asking.
$3,000 seems a pretty reasonable asking price for what I see, but then it doesn't exactly blow my hair back fumbling for the car keys to rush to Florida. That's not exactly what I'd call "just getting rid of it" money for a trailerless trailer-sailer, even with a known running engine (though it IS some sort of generally easier-to-fettle 2-stroker, right?). But then I bought my other "rescue dog sailboat" for $1. Now
that's a "getting rid of it" price:

Fair enough. I should edit the getting rid of it then and place a negotiable next to the price. Although 'getting rid of it' aren't my words in this thread. I'll go check the ad...

"Probably getting rid of -what's left- the boat as well
"...Your words. But like I said, $3,000 ain't a
bad price for a 26X fixer-upper. I paid $6,500 for mine, but with a solid Honda 50 engine and a semi-decent factory trailer. Needed lots of work though...bottom paint, a rats nest of half-installed electrical gimcracks, a pressure-water system with bladders and whatnot I still haven't wrestled with. But otherwise pretty bone stock. Not painted "Seasand Tan" or anything...
Full stop: Nope, that's a colon. We should do a multimedia (no hyphen required) sales ccampaign!

Thanks again, I re-read the post and didn't see that and checked craigslist and macg classys. As you can see I'm a noob here, I haven't figured out wether your tone is in good faith, joking, condescending or else. Give me some time please.
