It's on the wrong coast and all, but it looks like someone's been trying to sell an original '99 factory 26X trailer since last year and asking $1000:

It's described as being "in good working order" and reportedly being sold because the owner wants to upgrade to a dual axle. Maybe it's long sold and just a "zombie ad"...Maybe they've changed their mind about the dually...Maybe "good working order" is an overly-kind assessment. There's a lotta "maybes", but at least it's a lead. If it's still available a year later I'd guess that asking price might be quite flexible by now. Finding out how much an outfit like U-Ship might want to haul it from California to Florida is just a matter of asking for quotes. When the dust settles it might work out about the same or perhaps even cheaper than a trailer rental, and the new owner'd get to KEEP it. Then again, I'd have guessed Florida must be carpeted full of orphaned boat trailers that might work well enough with a bit of this or that, and which would be pretty much available for the asking.
$3,000 seems a pretty reasonable asking price for what I see, but then it doesn't exactly blow my hair back fumbling for the car keys to rush to Florida. That's not exactly what I'd call "just getting rid of it" money for a trailerless trailer-sailer, even with a known running engine (though it IS some sort of generally easier-to-fettle 2-stroker, right?). But then I bought my other "rescue dog sailboat" for $1. Now
that's a "getting rid of it" price:
