I'm about to buy a Macgregor 25 with a Macgregory trailer. 1986. The VIN plate is on the left side of the trailer near the tongue but is completely unreadable. Did Macgregor stamp the VIN onto the frame anywhere? Finding the VIN would make licensing the trailer a lot simpler!

My 98 26x OEM trailer has the stamps on the top starboard channel at the front.

I also have a 1981 macgregor 22 OEM trailer which I just checked and could not find stamping. My data plate is still legible.

I checked the trailer and thankfully the serial number was stamped on the starboard upper channel rail as was suggested! Thanks for the help

Do you have any more specifics on the location of the stamp? My data plate is also illegible and I'm going through a heck of a time trying to register it. Thanks!

Anyome have pics of where the serial might Be? Def have a Mac trailer (found decal under paint) but can’t find serial number. How many digits?

I’m far from home right now (live in Pa. but visiting in Ca.). I tend to think there is a place on the tongue; at least that’s what it looks like from this photo I keep on my phone for a just in case moment.

Sadly, that sticker is no longer there. Dems that the trailer’s been painted. I was looking for the stamped in serial but don’t see it. I wonder if it’s been covered over in paint?

You were asking how many digits in the serial number……..count them.

Mine got painted over by the PO or removed and so I just registered mine as homemade.no number needed

After much work and paint stripper and brushing I got the following pic

I think that’s 116BF16A0NC004177

That seems to follow the pattern of the picture above?
