In the fuse panel.... the fuses, are they actually fuses, or breakers ?
If they are fuses, the glass type ? how do you change them ?
square things that say "fuse" .... are they push buttons ? or .....
.... there is a tiny square hole in one side of each....
I have not ever seen this kind of fuse-holder except on boats.

They are fuses of the glass type with metal caps on my 2002
You push in the indent on the side and the red square pops out. Pull it all the way out and you find the glass fuse underneath.

Thanks ! i had seen that little hole in the side, but didn't realize a small screwdriver or such was needed to release the fuse holder cap. Most of the time, no "tools" are needed to change fuses. Switch and indicator works fine (WHEW

). It is the previously vacant "AUX 2" switch, now used for the wire to the head which has a light and fan inside, and another fan (oscillator) run off that circuit and mounted at that outside corner of the head wall for the settee and galley.
It is really amazing to think of all the stuff to do to the boat, and most of the ideas i wouldn't have gotten, or not so effectively applied, without this board's collective knowledge.

Yes, I too just learned something! Those fuses are the weirdest ones I've come across yet!
I do have a problem that is a real head scratcher. I have a two battery A/B switch system that does not work correctly at present!
It does start my motor properly but for some reason I cannot get power to the fuse panel. I can jumper up to it from a battery, and all circuits seem fine.
I doubt a lead (Power wire or ground} has chaffed in a few years of use....but?
I am going to do resistance checks, and as a last reort, physically pull each individual lead out to find the culprit! I used a cheapie throwaway
meter so far, and it's very unreliable. I let someone borrow my Simpson-260, and just got it back tonight. Besides Flukes, Simpsons are tops, as far as analog meters go!
Anyone else have a similar problem? The terminal lugs look OK, and I have continuity a few inches in on both ends also.

Tom,
I am having a similar problem. My panel for the lights doesn't seem to be working. My motor, shore power and 12 volt outlets work fine. I called BWY and they stated that there is a 15 amp fuse for that panel at the battery. I will be checking it this weekend. I'll let you know if that worked.
