Our M26 appears in a music video...

It’s a remake of a favourite Saskatchewan tune, the Last Saskatchewan Pirate.
For the non-Canadians out there:
Saskatchewan is a Canadian province well-known for its grain farms and the Roughriders, its Canadian Football League team.
“Salty Bob” and “Jolly Roger” played for the Roughriders in the 1970s and 80s
Regina is the capital city of Saskatchewan and has a small stream that runs through, so “Reginas mighty shores” is a fun part of the song.
The River Saskatchewan is the major river that flows through the province. We sail our Mac on Lake Diefenbaker, a reservoir which is part of the South Saskatchewan River, so you could say we really are “Pirates on the River Saskatchewan”
Enjoy...

That's a great way to use your

Good Canadian music. Maybe some lyrics only to be appreciated by us Canucks. And what a load on board. Thanks for the posting.

bhbell,
I assume you had a full ballast. There were nine people on deck, and who knows how many below, carousing, and doing doing who knows what.

Hello bhbell,
Nice boat!
So we are neighbours! I see you are from Regina, do you sail on Diefenbaker? My 26X was at the foot of the B stairs at Elbow, I purchased it recently so it wasn't officially renamed yet. The hull is all white, she is currently a "no name"...
Here is some context to our fellow readers about the sail tradition in Saskatchewan:
- The Wilson island on the Saskatchewan river used to host a cadet training camp during WWII. The myth is that Saskatchewan people were noticed during the war as people able to find their bearings easily because the endless prairies would look like the sea.
- Saskatoon has a navy unit affected to a land-based ship called the HMCS Unicorn, which basically consists of a badge
