Was wondering what you use to mount spare tire on an M trailer.

Hi not sure if I understand, my trailer came with a spare at the front of the trailer and is mounted on a braket with a spacer and nut arrangement.
Hope this helps, i try to get a picture today

I bought a tire mount for my X at W/M and put it right behind the ladder post. Problem now is that the tire hits gas station's driveway street gutters. You have to find a level driveway from the street.

I bought a spare tire and mount but can not figure out the best place to mount it. I was looking arond the ladder, but there ust isn't a "no brainer" place. Any photos of tires mounted on an M trailer?

Thanks Jim. Looks like I have the same mounting bracket, so I will copy that location.

If there's any way to mount it on the curbside, rather than the streetside, I'd encourage you to do that. I hate being on the streetside where I can't see cars coming from the rear... you know... the ones that stare at a car, including a police car, on the side of the road and drive right into it?

On our X's is on the ladder. Honestly, I don't know if it blocks access because I've never tried climbing the ladder with it on. And I don't know if it would fit behind the ladder on the frame.

Jim,
is that light blue color on your hull antifouling bottom paint, if it is it sure looks nicer than black.

It's an anti-fouling paint (Micron Extra) put on by the previous owner. The boat was a demo that I got at the end of the season (that's the reason for the Nebraska number on a Michigan hull!). Since I dry sail, I haven't any idea if the paint is effective.

That location, on frame behind ladder, is where Art from Havencraft mounted mine on my 2002 :macx:

Works and fits fine.

On the topic of trailers and spares for $10 a year you can add Trailer Plus membership to BOAT US membership and have tow package support added to your services.

Im taking a trip and just wanted to note by Boat US discount on the slip I am renting for a week was like getting my membership fees back twice. Four times if I count the fact that my MOANE membership counts towards Boat US so it only costs me $9 to join Boat US.

Yours for a fair tide;
