Hidding a wire behind the top liner in the cabin

Hello,

I have noticed that an electrical wire which used to be hidden behind a side cabin liner won't stop falling.

So, to precise my question: there are two liners in the cabin: one lay above the hull and the other is below the cabin roof. They meet a few inches bellow the windows. I thought these liners would be jointed, but they are actually pretty far apart and form a gorge which opens to the bottom. The precedent owner ran a wire in the gorge without any fastener and it won't stop falling from there.

Anyone who had this problem before?

I am thinking about using a kind of foam tape to fill the gap and trap the wire above... What do you think?

Thanks

I had a few spots where the factory wiring was drooping out of the liner. I used foam pipe insulation pieces to hold the wiring in the liner. I believe someone on this forum suggested it.

Sounds like a good idea! I was reluctant to use anything with glue, I will try that! Thanks

I was going to make a piece of trim to hold my wires up. Until then I just used some clear packing tape. It's not the prettiest solution but looks better than the wires drooping down. I haven't had to take it off yet to see what kind of mess I'll have with the adhesive.

I tried the foam pipe insulation and it worked very well. It was a bit hard to stuff the foam in some places, though I felt that it didn't need to be attached all the way. No more visible wires in my boat!

Thanks again for the tip!
