Hidding a wire behind the top liner in the cabin

Hello,
I have noticed that an electrical wire which used to be hidden behind a side cabin liner won't stop falling.
So, to precise my question: there are two liners in the cabin: one lay above the hull and the other is below the cabin roof. They meet a few inches bellow the windows. I thought these liners would be jointed, but they are actually pretty far apart and form a gorge which opens to the bottom. The precedent owner ran a wire in the gorge without any fastener and it won't stop falling from there.
Anyone who had this problem before?
I am thinking about using a kind of foam tape to fill the gap and trap the wire above... What do you think?
Thanks
