Problems with the Forum

Hi, folks. Ray ("Niceaft") brought to my attention some issues with the forum and clearly there are some threads that aren't working. I've notified Heath to try and fix them. Your patience is appreciated.

A big thanks to the Admins for doing their techy stuff, you dont realize how much you miss the forum until you log in and there is nothing but SQL errors

Ditto that. I was Jones'in while riding Amtrak back from NYC the other day and couldn't log on. So I had to do work, instead.
A huge Thanks to Heath et al for keeping this place going.

The search function only retrieves results from recent posts. Do a search for "autopilot" and see the results. Apparently the database for the search needs to be rebuilt.

I will need to rebuild the search database. It was a huge table and I cleared it while searching for the source of the database corruption. Should be back soon.

We all appreciate the efforts to make this site what it is.
Folks need to be patient as reconstruction takes place. At least it's back online!! Let's not get greedy.
If you've ever seen the number of MySQL tables involved in phpBB, you'd be thrilled that this is back online.
The Search is a valuable resource. We can wait for a fix. Heath, take some time off and be with your family. Next year (2018) can bring more repairs.
