& even though an hour past high tide, I managed to get my out, bottom cleaned while on the trailer, in the water -in a wet suit
Ever seen a fat man in a wet suit?? With a scrub brush on a mission to leave the sea behind ?? Doin the Mac slide?? -While still in a wet suit??
13hrs later -Boat's home Driveway's packed. Show's over - Didn't hit nuttin' & no-one Ok... Now what . ..

I need some planz to get through the next 6 months... Help?

Who's doin' or plannin' Winter Mods? Idears...

I bought 2 6V 235AH Bats I gotta find a better place for. As it is, I had a ~5* Port side list I gotta address... which was probably from Group 27 [2] & 24 Batteries.

Any placement ideas?

If the boat is going to be home for an extended period of time in reasonable weather on level ground? - that's always a time that I like to raise the mast on the trailer and hoist the sails and thoroughly go through all my rigging - I get out the loose gauge and check everything - look for frayed stuff - inspect the sails - lubricate the mast slot and pull the main up and down to make sure everything is free and in working order. Look for loose screws or bolts, re-hoist the genoa in the furler to take up the slack that another year of stretch puts in the head-sail, and then I finally put jacks under the trailer and remove all the tie-downs holding the boat to the trailer (including the bow hook winch line) so I don't put constant strain on the hull for 2 or 3 months.

Then - if or after all the standing rigging passes inspection - I start on the mods. This is the time to do it - when the boat is out of the water.

On my M this spring I installed 2 golf cart batts in the center underneath the cabin entrance ladder & moved my starting batt to the port side storage next to the ladder but still need to move my water tanks from under the table to the port side on a pernament mod something similar to what Sumner done with his blue water tanks
Was away in Scotland & now in Edmonton AB. So boat is still in the water @ the condo docks 30 sec walk from the condo nice to b able to walk down there in the morning with my coffee
Ordered a new update steering cable from BWY but they r on back order 4 wks, if weather permitting start finishing my Radar Arch I'm designin & making a mock up model with 1" gray plastic electric conduit which is equal to 1 1/4" od S/S. Finish off my galley hutch mod which is 90 % done & my dinette cubby mod 75 % done
But that's when I get back to Victoria BC lol
Decision decisions my this retirement life is busier than when I was working

I've got to do something about the crummy galley storage. Some sort of home made ugliness with clamshell interior door/window trim. Looks like it has sliding doors, but they're gone. Wire rack inside for a shelf. Just embarrassing. But it's hard to work on it when the boat is tarped with mountains of snow piled around it.

Other projects include a trawler stub mast, which is already rough cut from ply, and some stub rudders modeled on the long HDPE aftermarket units on the boat, but short so they don't have to be raised in shallow water.

I would keep them on the port side, since the wiring is there, and the heavy wiring to the OB can remain short, but look into moving other things to starboard. Things that don't care where they are, like anchors, water tanks/bladders, stored lines, parts, canned goods, and so on.

Is there some sort of distance the radar has to be from your head? Seriously, that’s a lot of radio waves buzzing near your head if you’re close to it.

I was not really thinking to have the radar dome in the cockpit, but I guess that works if your okay with it - I suppose if you sail alone a lot it's not a big deal. I guess it could keep you company in the cockpit on long trips.

When doing this mod when u remove the Bolt from the carriage pulley u must hold the pulley in it,s center bolt position so as u don,t lose the 40 or so little tiny ball bearings that r on both sides "Upper & lower" sides of the pulley which the pulleys on the center carriage run on ask me how I Know

Ray as a couple of Admirals said to me after checkin out my cabin mods we just left the Mac Ritz then looked at their Skipper,s & said U got some up-grades to do to our Mac Camper,s
