Mac 222 - bilge pump?
I am still working on rebuild of my 82 Mac 222, figuring out what goes (or used to go) where. Elec switches show a bilge pump - but there is no pump. If I put on back on the boat, where does it go? And where does the pump exhaust to? Thanks

The pump was put on by someone after build, so it's up to you to figure out where you would like this
Mac bilges are complex with many " compartments" so placement of a single pump is a compromise.
You can eject water on side or transom. I suggest you put the port above the resting waterline.

Just because the electrical panel shows a switch that says "bilge" doesn't mean there ever was one. I replaced the panel on my pontoon and it came with a bilge pump switch. I still haven't figured out where you put a bilge on a pontoon boat.

Re: Mac 222 - bilge pump?
I was thinking about hooking up a pump in the cabin floor and routing the outflow to the cockpit; it would still drain, and might give a heads-up if I am taking on water while sailing. If we started taking water while in the cabin, the sound of the pump would be heard.
